Block-in

Block-in technique:  “A block-in is a light sketch of your whole composition before any details or shading are done to make sure it’s placed correctly on the page and that the proportions and distances are accurate.”

Comment: I did try to use the different parts of the face to try and make sure everything was right size and right place. After discovering the block-in element, I recognised the importance of spending time on this part of the drawing.
