DPR – MM to Pixel Table

Converting the MM to pixels

In Sketchbook Pro, some of the default settings in canvas and image size are a mix of the pixels, inches, cm and mm; it also includes percentages as well. It is not the best really.

So with a bit of googling, I created two tables to help me set the canvas size by reference to the standard A (A4, etc). The difference between the two is the PPI (pixels per inch) setting. Sketchbook Pro defaults to 100 PPI but apparently the standard for websites is 96 PPI. So I did a table for both.

Table One - 96 PPI

Paper SizePixels (rounded up)MillimetresInches (one eighth of an inch is 0.125)
A0 (large)3179 x 4490841 x 118833.125 x 46.8125
A12245 x 3179594 x 84123.375 x 33.125
A21587 x 2245420 x 59416.5 x 23.375
A31123 x 1587297 x 42011.75 x 16.5
A4794 x 1123210 x 2978.25 x 11.75
A5559 x 794148 x 2105.875 x 8.25
A6397 x 559105 x 1484.125 x 5.875
A7280 x 39774 x 1052.9375 x 4.125
A8197 x 28052 x 742.0625 x 2.9375

Note: If you want to follow these
measurements then you will need to reset the resolution in image size dialogue
settings to “96” (on my computer it defaults to 100) see below.
