Human Head – Basic proportions

Basically, the way to approach understanding where face furniture sits on heads, you have to draw a ball, split it in the middle for brow/eyes  then add a bit for the chin.

Comment: quite a long video and covers three different angles – front, side and ¾ side.

Comment: This has nobody speaking but unlike the other two, the person has two  circles which you then break down to get the various points for the face parts. I personally found it too complicated. But it is a short  video especially as you can put it on double speed given it has no speech.

Overall, I just found trying to draw a circle then add a bit for the chin just a bit hard. The gallery  shows that I tried to learn it a few times. After a while I just did an ovoid shape and stuck the face furniture in the various places with different degrees of success.

As I did the faces/heads, I began to use different parts of the face to establish where other face furniture went.
