The fundamentals
On google, you’ll get a range of answers to the question of ‘what are the drawing fundamentals?’ Few of them will even agree on the number of fundamentals! There simply are too many for me to list here but these seem to be the fundamentals that most will include:
- Values or shading
- Proportions and form
- Perspective
- Colour
All drawings will have these in different degrees or not at all. As I am writing this in Month 3 of Target 1, I would say that drawing heads in pencil/graphite covers 1 and 2 only.
